1 package pie crust for 9 inch one crust pie
2 eggs
1 can (16 ounces) pumpkin (2 cups)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Prepare pastry for 9 inch one crust pie as directed on package.
Beat eggs slightly with mixer; beat in remaining ingredients.
Pour into pastry-lined pan.
Bake 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
Bake 45 minutes longer or until knife inserted between center and edge comes out clean.
Cool.
* Sweet Potato Pie:
Substitute mashed cooked sweet potato for the pumpkin.
