Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 large onions or 3 medium


1 large head of cabbage
1 green pepper
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup vinegar
1/4 cup oil

Cooking Instructions


Slice onion and chop cabbage ( not too fine).
Alternate onion, pepper and cabbage in a large container with lid.
Pour the 2 cups of sugar on top.

Bring to boil:
2 tablespoons sugar, dry mustard, celery seed, salt, vinegar and salad oil.

Stir and pour over cabbage. At once, cover to hold in steam.

Cool and refrigerate at least 4 hours before using.

Keeps good in refrigerator for 2 weeks
