Ingredients

Yield: 4 servings

1/2 cup Shedd's spread cinnamon margarine
4 granny smith apples, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup apple juice
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Cooking Instructions

Cooking time: 15 minutes

In a 12 inch nonstick skillet, melt spred with cinnamon over medium heat and cook apples with lemon juice, stirring frequently, 12 minutes or until apples are almost tender.

In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and, if desired, a pinch of salt; stir into skillet and simmer, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until warm.

Serve warm as a side dish or as a delicious topping for ice cream, waffles or pancakes.
