Ingredients



4 c vinegar
4 c sugar( I used 3)
1/2 c pickling salt
1/2 tsp mustard seed (I used a spice ball)
1/2 tsp celery seed ( I opted to 1/2 tsp celery salt instead)
1/2 tsp turmeric
cukes..thinly sliced
onions..thinly sliced

Cooking Instructions



fill ice cream pail with alternate layers of cukes and onions. In a pan combine 1rst 6 ingredients. Boil together for 2 minutes. Pour over veg. Let cool and store in fridge. They cukes will shrink as they cool off so just add more to fill up the pail. These stay very crisp....ps. I also added a bit of dill weed to the boiling brine. Lasts in fridge for a long time...
