3 medium onions, chopped (1 1/2 cups)
½ cup sliced celery
6 tablespoons margarine
3 cups finely diced baking apples
3 cups whole wheat bread cubes
¼ cup chopped parsley
½ teaspoon sage
½ teaspoon thyme
2 teaspoons instant chicken broth
½ cup hot water
Saute onions and celery in margarine in skillet until soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in apples; continue cooking and stirring 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Combine with bread, parsley, sage, thyme, nutmeg, instant chicken broth and water in a large bowl.
Toss until evenly moist.
