3 pounds beef stewing meat
3 large onions, cut into eighths
1 (14.5 or 16 ounces) can whole tomatoes, undrained
2 cups water
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon beef bouillon
1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 bay leaves
2 bay leaves
1 package (1 pound) baby carrots
1 package (1 pound) frozen cut green beans
Cooking time: 7 hours

Combine all ingredients except carrots and green beans in a slow cooker; mix well.
Cover; cook on high setting for 6-7 hours, stirring occasionally and adding carrots and green beans during the last hour of cooking.
Remove bay leaves before serving.
