Ingredients



1 1/2 cups margarine
2 cups sugar
3 cups cake flour (or 2 3/4 cups flour)
8 eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cooking Instructions

Cooking time: 60 minutes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream margarine.
Add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating vigorously after each additon.
Sift cake flour; measure and sift again with salt and baking powder.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with eggs and vanilla.
Beat mixture until it is light enough to float when a little is dropped in water.
Pour into a greased tube, loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour.
