Yield: 1 pound cake

2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup Crisco
5 large or 6 medium eggs
3 cups sugar
3 cup cake flour
1 teaspoon each vanilla, lemon and almond extracts
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
IMPORTANT: All ingredients must be at room temperature
Cooking time: 60 minutes

Spray tube pan with Pam.
Put butter and Crisco in large bowl.
Mix at medium speed until light and fluffy.
Add sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one a time, until well mixed.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg 1 time.
Add flavorings to batter.
Add flour and milk, a little at a time; begin and end with flour.
Pour cake batter into pan.
Place in COLD oven.
Set temperature to 310 degrees.
Bake approximately 1 hour.
Test with toothpick for doneness.
Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Place on wire rack to cool.
