Ingredients

Preparation time: 20 minutes

1 pound margarine
3 cups sugar
4 cups cake flour
6 eggs (optional)
3/4 cup milk

Cooking Instructions

Cooking time: 1 hour 45 minutes

Grease tube pan. Do NOT preheat oven.

Cream margarine.
Gradually cream in sugar, 1 cup at a time,
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add flour and milk alternatel, starting and ending with the flour.
Beat until smooth and thick.
Pour batter into a greased tube pan.

Do not preheat oven.

Place in cold oven and bake for 1 hour 45 minutes. Do not open oven while baking!!!

After baking time, turn oven off and let cake remain in oven for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven.

Cool and serve.
