1 container margarine with pumpkin spice
5 cups half-and-half or light cream
5 large eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 cups 3/4 inch bread cubes
Cooking time: 60 minutes

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a 13 X 9 inch baking dish, spread 1/3 cup margarine with pumpkin spice; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine half-and-half, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt; set aside.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt remaining margarine.
Add bread and toss to coat.
Pour egg mixture on bread; pressing bread down to evenly coat. Let stand 20 minutes, pressing bread down occasionally.
In the prepared baking dish, evenly spread bread mixture.
Bake 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean and custard is set.
Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
