3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese ( 6 ounces)
1/2 cup margarine, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
Cooking time: 18 minutes

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease 12 cup muffin pan; set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, oregan and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, with a mixer, beat margarine and sugar on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
Beat in eggs, scraping sides occasionally.
Alternately beat in flour mixture and milk until blended.
Stir in cheese.
Evenly spoon batter into prepared pan.
Bake 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean.
On wire rack, cool 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely.
