1 1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 can blackberries
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda

Cooking Instructions:



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13 X 9 inch pan.

Combine sugar, eggs, shortening and berries in medium sized mixing bowl. Beat for 2 min.
Combine dry ingredients. Combine buttermilk and baking soda. Add alternately with flour mixture
to sugar mixture. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into prepared 13 X 9 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until tests done
