Brown Sugar Pound Cake: Date Added: 21 Jul 2013 Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup butter
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Sweetened Whipped Cream
fresh fruit

Cooking Instructions:

Cooking time: 60 minutes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour 9X5X3 inch loaf pan.

In large bowl, beat sugar and butter until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Gradually add to sugar mixture.
Pour batter into pan.

Bake one hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Remove from and pan and turn out on ract to cool completely.
Top with whipped cream and fruit.

Sweetened Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Confectioners sugar to taste
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place cream in a chilled bowl.
Beat until foamy. Add confectioners sugar and vanilla.
Beat until stiff.
