1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 cups pared apples, finely chopped
1 cup All Bran cereal
1 package (3 oounce) cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups sifted confectioner's sugar

Cooking time: 45 minutes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 X 9 X 2 inch baking pan.
Stir together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat the 1/2 cup margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs. Stir in apples, cereal and flour mixture. Spread in greased baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees 45 minutes or until done.

To make frosting, beat cream cheese, the 1 tablespoon margarine and vanilla. Gradually add confectioner's sugar, beating until smooth. If frosting is too thinck, add 1-2 teaspoons milk. Spread on cooled cake
