Yield: 1 3 pound loaf

4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1 pound pitted, chopped dates ( about 3 cups)
4 cups whole pecans
Cooking time: 2 hours 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Grease and flour 9 X5X 3 in loaf pan.
Combine eggs, sugar and oil; beat well.
Add dry ingredients, mixing well.
Fold in dates and pecans.
Place in prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 2 hours 15 minutes.
